Life drawing - extreme poses
Life Drawing has long been considered a fundamental discipline for the artist.
Conquering the complexities of the human form and capturing a likeness, accurate proportion and establishing the discipline of observation are all crucial to expanding drawing skills. Each week the life drawing room offers rhythm and ritual, perhaps transportation to a meditative state as students connect to the familiar triangle; artist, model and paper.
However, there is a certain point a drawing takes us beyond a mere representation, it burrows into our souls capturing our humanness and vulnerabilities expressing an intimate connection to inner worlds. Although a collective experience, each artist’s interpretation is unique, connection and response wholly individual. Extreme Poses captures this diverse understanding of our humanness and form and is beautifully expressed through extreme poses.
